A Chance To Make A Difference

I’m thinking seriously about what I can teach my son Jason, the most important things to give him. Sixteen years old now, and six foot two. Time passes so quickly.

Jason at about seven

Because of Corona, we home schooled him for the last couple of months, and by keeping the pressure on, we’ve raised ALL his grades to their highest level ever. To be honest, I’m not sure what my next step is. In all likelihood, he will never have the same combination of imprintability and maturity again. Ever. So there are ways that the next 100 days are critical in his life.

What do I give him? If there is ONE set of understandings to give him, and I would never have the chance to do more…what would it be?

I’m thinking it has to be very simple. Maybe 3–4 things. So these are the things that come to mind:

  1. Morning Ritual. 10–20 minutes of physical movement WHILE focusing the mind, filling your heart with gratitude, and chanting affirmations.
  2. Three Gates. Is it True? Is it Kind? Is it Useful?
  3. Three Energy Centers. Belly Brain (physicality), Heart center (emotions), Head Center (intellect and spirit)

If he has these three things…maybe. So I have to ask myself: what might I have been, how would my life have been better, my actions more powerful and congruent, my heart stronger, mind…
