BLM Marches and January 6th

I had a reader suggest that denial of January 6th’s danger and traitorous nature is equivalent to “The Left’s” attitude toward the BLM marches and violence. For a number of reasons, I don’t think this logical or reasonable, although I can empathize to a degree.

A riot in a city that tries to take city hall in an attempt to overturn a contested election at the behest of a mayor who refuses to admit he lost is the city-level equivalent. But even if every piece of that is equivalent, the danger is whatever the population fraction might be. On average, what….
