Christmas Every Morning With My Son

My giant son came out of his room this morning. The first thing I always do is hug him and say something positive. Criticisms come later in the day if necessary. This morning I whispered in his ear as we hugged: “Thank you. When you were in heaven, looking to see who you wanted for a father, thank you for choosing me.”

And I meant that with all my heart. EVERY ONE of us deserves to hear something like that, first thing, every day. Build your own morning ritual and give yourself that gift.

I posted the above on FB. And the comments were wonderful: People are right: starting the day with a positive emotion is essential. And if you didn’t have a parent to do this for you…you can do it for yourself. I’ll be holding a Zoom mastermind tomorrow at noon if you can make it. I’m going to try to do these weekly, and they’ll be about setting yourself up for success in careers, writing, relationships, fitness, martial arts…all of it. Ask any questions you want, and lets change the world together!
