Regarding remaining conscious, Rajnar Vajra said: “For me, it’s a balancing act. The moment I forget that I’m really the empty, self-less but awake field of awareness, as we all are, my mind becomes gripped in reactions and reactions to reactions. The instant I remember what I am, as if waking up from a dream, my mind calms. I lose and regain balance dozens of times every day. My goal isn’t to never fall into the dream but to recover faster and faster.”

Beautiful. And critically important if you would be an awake, aware, adult human being.

Every day, EVERY day, I see people complaining about the behaviors of others. So much anger, or violence. And how stressed out THEY are as a consequent.

There is an opportunity to learn and grow here. Remember those rules of being conscious in a politicized world.

  1. Love yourself. Self care
  2. Love one other person. Teaches empathy and compassion.
  3. Understand history without guilt, blame, or shame. Understand why humans do what they do, without thinking we are somehow terrible creatures.
  4. Avoid trolls. Support your tribe.
  5. Win with integrity.

If you cannot pass the first step (self care) then you should at least have compassion for the people around you who also cannot. Who allow THEIR fear to turn into anger and possibly violence.
