Each One Teach Ten

My life purpose is clear, but I hadn’t said it out loud in months: To support the flowering of ONE MILLION awake, aware, adult human beings.

That’s enough to change the world, people. But start with yourself…then inspire those around you.

###

I think the very best thing I can do is to honestly represent my own struggles and triumphs, as clearly as possible. Take what is useful, and discard the rest.

##

I have to integrate a new habit into my life, one I intend to maintain indefinitely. The problem is that I have a pattern of only doing this habit until I get a specific result…then I stop. And when I stop, the problem returns. Then I apply discipline again…

Tired of this pattern. I want to be the person who has this habit at “Unconscious Competence” rather than “I’ll do it when it hurts.”

Assumption: I have more pain than pleasure associated with this habit. Deeper assumption: on some level, my beliefs, values, and personal identity do NOT support this as an automatic set of behaviors in my life. SELF-IDENTITY is probably the largest. I need to ask myself if being the person who can do this is contrary to my core self. No…but it is contrary to my ego identity. But it IS in alignment with my deepest values: Joy and Service. It conflicts with none of the Three Gates.

So I have to make a declaration, throw my hat over the fence, and commit to being this new person, or rather to extend my send of identity…
