Extend Your “Ki”
Enter into your day with your energy flowing OUTWARD. In “Aikido in Daily Life” master instructor Koishi Tohei compares our energy to a stream flowing into a cess pool. So long as the energy is flowing outward, the crap cannot back into your stream, and eventually the stream will dilute the pool to the point that the water is actually drinkable. But if the stream is weak, the cess pool backs up into it, polluting and destroying.
This is you, entering an often negative world. If you pause to breathe, you can remind yourself of your goals and gratitudes. If you check your goals morning and night, you can have confidence that the day’s actions are taking you another step along your path.
And if you protect the first minutes of your day, NEVER look at the news, scroll negative media or even answer emails until you’ve centered and connected to your heart and survival drives…you will be unique among your acquaintances. If you perform affirmation while exercising, (or, say, listen to positive videos while crawling, stretching, walking) you are programming yourself with diamonds. And if you use this time to visualize your mentors (and ALWAYS have a mentor or map in any arena of life where you have yet to achieve mastery) and ask: “how did they use MAGIC to accomplish their goals?” the clarity on how they modeled their own masters, took massive action, maintained their enthusiasm for decades where others lost it in days, constantly clarified their intentions, and dug DEEP into their own soul to find an IDENTITY that will look at the challenges along the way as…
