Failing to Model Success Can Kill Our Nation
I have taught martial arts, yoga, personal development, and writing. In every case, the concept of “modeling success” is central. And I’ve learned something: when people refuse to model the behaviors of people more successful than themselves, it is generally connected to hidden beliefs or self-image issues. THEY DON’T WANT TO MAKE THE CHANGE. They would have to admit something painful if they did.
On a core level, we not only know modeling works, but know that there is NO substitute for it. It is the basic way the human race has advanced from generation to generation (in the ways that we HAVE advanced). And you learned to walk, and talk, and ride a back, and read, and speak all from modeling. It’s what we do, arguably the best and fastest way to learn and grow.
So if there is a challenge, and you say: “who has done this successfully? Who has done this MORE successfully than you/us/me?” and suggest looking at the belief systems, patterns of thought, and physical actions…you are on the path of masters.
If you deny that? Don’t look for real-world examples, or even worse, ignore the fact that there ARE NO real-world examples of your position? You are “awakening the Kundalini from the top down.” Trying to make the world in the shape of your ideas, rather than grounding them in what is actually proven to work, to be true. You’ve not passed the very first of the Three Gates (“is it true?”).
