I Need Your Help!

So tomorrow I will begin an experiment: is there a market for a year-long class blending the insights of creative and martial arts? Is there a market for a weekend or one-day workshop? I don’t know, but must be willing to put myself out there and fail to find out. So, nervousness and all, I’m going to give it a shot.
I feel as if it might be good for me to sort through the major notions to be covered.
- Mastery. Why settle for less? This is the only life you get. The working definition is: have all your basic skills at “unconscious competence” and commit to the path for a lifetime. Mastery is then a verb, not a noun. A vector, not a position. And you are on “the path of master” as much as anyone else on the path.
- The Hero’s Journey. As we can use it to plan stories, the writing of stories, and the process of living itself, it is essential, and my first major personal insight into the overall structure of human life.
- The Chakras. As they map with Maslow and Milton Erickson and sacred “energy” systems from multiple traditions, I trust it as a map of the process of human evolution: from basic needs to more emotional and intellectual and esoteric aspects. The “Three Energy Centers” are a simplification of this.
- Balance. Accomplishment in any arena demands what some might consider a touch of madness. You simply cannot…
