This morning a WARRIORS JOURNEY student said:

So… turns out I have a pretty deep aversion to the ‘out loud’ part of the morning ritual… last couple of days I’ve forced myself to do it and it seems to be a big positive… I have some thoughts on why I feel this reluctance but I’m not sure delving deep on that is a productive avenue, I’m leaning towards instead just recognizing the morning ritual as a re-programming tool and moving forward with it and not worrying about ‘why’.

Don’t really have a question in there, though feedback is welcome… I guess mostly I just wanted to share with people who can relate and to reassure others that they aren’t alone on that struggle. Change is hard and it can be hard when/where we don’t expect it sometimes.”

The M.A.G.I.C. Ritual is definitely BOTH a “diagnostic” and a “reprogramming” tool. If you can’t say it out loud, I would consider that evidence that you are uncomfortable about “acting” as if it is true as well. If you can’t say “I’m a wonderful salesman who loves his customers” I’d suspect you have negative feelings about sales, about your skills as a salesman, or about the value you are offering your customers. Look into this. The Morning Ritual is just 5–20 minutes a day where you are bringing mind, body, and heart all together in the same place at the same time. It is confrontational as hell if you aren’t aligned.

Can you see the value of flipping over that flat rock to see what’s hiding…
