One of the problems in the spiritual path is that if you care about the people around you, you have to engage yourself with worldly concerns, and that brings you back to Earth. Until my son Jason is fully cooked, I HAVE to care more about current events and things like politics than is my nature. Sigh.

From one perspective worthy of respect, so long as any of us are hurting, all of us are. So I have to engage.
Racism, for instance, is something I’d rather not dig into. It is a big, stinking pile of dogshit, and there are few ways of digging through it that ennoble or uplift. There is, however, value to clarity, so I’ll engage with it frequently — especially because my perspective seems somewhat unusual. That implies that it may be of value.
Once more into the breech, dear friends. But I will try to make any comments True, and Kind, and Useful.

First things first: definitions: “Racism is the attribution of differential, innate worth or capacity on the basis of race or ethnicity.” Agree with that, disagree, whatever: I don’t care. When I use the term, that’s what I mean.
