Lead, Support a Leader, or stay off the field
My goal continues to clarify (The “I”, “Intention”, in the MAGIC formula.)
That goal: Help ONE MILLION people escape suffering, embrace joy and be of service. That’s enough to change the world. The plan is to mentor 1000 people, each of whom are willing to commit to helping at least 10 people on that path. By the time I’ve done that, I’ll have a better understanding of what needs to be done, and how to do it.
For those of you willing to accept this challenge:
- You do NOT need to figure everything out in advance. Just get started.
- The “White belt” level: BREATHE diaphragmatically for 60 seconds, every hour on the hour, at least five times a day.
- The “Yellow” belt level is to create your Morning Ritual, the “Diamond Hour” concept: to control the first 60 minutes of your day. Don’t open emails, no social media, no news. This is time to connect with your body, say 20 minutes of exercise. Connect with your emotions: meditation and gratitude work. And connect with your long and short term goals, your ultimate destiny, so that you can design a day that takes you at least one step in that direction.
- Stress is inevitable. Strain is negotiable. You CAN control the amount of “strain” experienced psychologically by controlling what you focus on, how you move your body, and the language you use.
- “Firedance” is our core exercise, then. To move for 10–20 minutes (walking, running, dancing, Tai Chi, etc.) WHILE chanting affirmations, visualizing your mentors and projecting GRATITUDE. The beautiful thing about Firedance is that on days when you need extra “oomph” all you have to do is speak louder, or push harder physically while doing your “Firedance” activity/incantations.
If you are able to pull yourself out of depression and panic, fear and anger, if you can find the “eye of the storm” in your life, you will be able to help the people you love. When THEY lose it, you can either give them hugs (a warm and comforting presence, a sympathetic ear) or strategies (“Breathe. Create a Morning Ritual.”)
Aim at having enough physical energy, emotional balance, and financial resource to be of benefit to the people you love. Commit to this, and you transform EVERY activity during the day, because you aren’t working “to pay your lousy bills” but to be a HERO to your family. And you will find it easier to justify the thought of “abundance” because it is not merely selfish wish for more toys but the desire to be of real service to those who cannot help themselves…for now. Help them back up. One day, they will be the ones helping you.
Namaste
