Life Mastery For Young Men

The Jason program continues. Last week, he created his first video, and it was a generalized piece of advice to young men. I looked at that, and a little light went off. Follow my reasoning, please.

  1. Jason will discuss his ADHD, but sure as hell doesn’t brag about it or embrace it as a part of his identity with enthusiasm.
  2. He naturally loves giving advice to other kids, including some in existential crisis. And has used the Robbins/Madanes “Change Framework” with great success in a number of situations: rapport, break pattern, connect to higher purpose (or “better path”)
  3. I want to keep my promise to create a guide to parents with ADHD kids, and see that as a powerful example of something Jason can offer the world — his honest story.
  4. There are two realities that need to be resolved: you need to have a specific audience, and you also want an audience large enough to make your product a success.

If Jason’s natural expression is just generalized life advice, then I think I need to harness that horse. Which creates a possibility: a GENERALIZED success manual for young men. Is this in alignment with the ADHD program?

YES IT IS. Why? Because I specifically designed the program so that he couldn’t outgrow it. So that if he grew beyond the need for medication and special ed classes, he wouldn’t be forced to learn a totally new set of skills or techniques to become a dynamite adult: all he’d have to do is “lean in” to the principles he already…
