When Nicki was about sixteen years old, I began to teach her HOW I had been influencing her, putting her hands consciously on the controls of her life. Jason loves to take things apart and put them back together. I reckon that if I teach him what I’m doing with him, so long as I provide a positive role model, he’ll start figuring it out for himself. I have to TRUST HIS MIND. BELIEVE IN HIM. Trust the process. At this moment, he lives and dies by my belief in his ability to slice through the bonds he’s tied himself into. I must have faith.

Yesterday was another interesting day in this process, and I want to do a core dump for YOU, making it clear what I did and my interpretation of its implications. Encoded in today’s comments is an overview of the complete parenting process I’m using, as I understand it at this moment. Please, if you have questions, let me try to answer them. I don’t know what you need to know to make heads or tails of this.

I started with a transcultural model (the Chakras), and zoomed in and out to find the language and resources to understand it better and communicate with it more fully. I’ll try to give the names or sources of these concepts and perspectives, but remember: it all comes back to Lifewriting: the Hero’s Journey and the Chakras.
