Summer is Here: 100 Days to Change Jason’s Life

Today is Jason’s first day of Summer Vacation.

Yesterday I brought him breakfast in bed, and a congratulations card with a twenty dollar bill in it, just reminding him how proud of him I am, and how far he’s come. From deep in the hole with an undiagnosed learning issue to starting to believe in himself.

I apologized for pushing him so hard all year, feeling in my heart all of the stress as I expended the precious emotional capital earned over years of BEING THERE every day to get him out of bed, remind him of his basic instructions for school.

He said that there wouldn’t be as much stress next year. I asked why.

“Because you won’t have to push me as hard,” he said with a bright, happy smile.

Your lips to God’s ear. And one of the most critical things will be acquiring at least one friend who is a go-getter.

Let’s look at this from the perspective of the M.A.G.I.C. formula. His actual capacity is a circle, with his ability to manifest a smaller circle within it. The “gap” between the smaller and larger circles is the area of his potential growth.
