Take Responsibility For Your Life: If You Don’t, Who Will?
I work very hard to make every program I produce better than everything that came before. Getting ready to release the full, formal WARRIOR’S JOURNEY program requires that I walk slowly through all the basic components for it, reassure myself that I can explain them in my own words as well as the words of Dawn Callan or any other Master I’ve drawn from. And Dawn’s core Warrior Principles are just wonderful stuff. Here are my thoughts on #2.

2. “Take Responsibility.
This is your life, take it back. Either you get to own it, or you blame someone or something else for why it’s not working.” — Dawn Callan
Response-ability. Not guilt, blame, or shame. The ability to respond. When you don’t take responsibility for your choices and actions, while that apparently absolves you of guilt or blame for your situation, it also infantilizes and robs you of all the power you need to change things in the future.
To the degree that you CAN take responsibility for that bad job, that bad relationship, those bad food choices, those broken promises, you then have an opening to begin an inquiry:
WHY DID I MAKE THAT CHOICE? What was my decision process? What triggered the behavior? What resources would I need to improve?
Those are empowering questions. They presume that you have the capacity to do better. What stops more people from thinking this way?
