Want to “Read Minds”?
In fitness/health, relationships, and career there are people who take responsibility for their actions and emotions, and those who do not. “Responsibility” is “the ability to respond,” not guilt, blame, or shame.
I think the human race bifurcates at that point. The road splits. On one side are those who take responsibility, down the other are people who believe that they cannot change behaviors until the world changes, or there are “no good men/women” or that success is merely an accident.
And here is a critical truth: outside circumstances will affect the average member of a given group, can “drop the curve”. But it has MUCH less effect on what individuals do. My attitude has been simple: if ANYONE in my group has succeeded, I can succeed. And all along the way, people told me I was being unreasonable. Was living in a “dream world”. And had I listened to them, I’d have gotten their results, lived THEIR lives. Everyone should live his own life, not someone else’s

There is a technique called “Mind Reading” that some long-ago teacher shared, or possibly I unconsciously synthesized. Honestly, the memory is foggy. And it had several steps. They were similar to the following:
- First, love yourself. If you don’t, you’ll never have the strength to speak the truth without flinching, to look at your wounds and see the possibilities as well as the problems. LOVE YOURSELF. Heartbeat meditation and “Ancient Child” work are powerful tools. There are others. Find them.
