Warriors, Sleepers, and Snakes
The following are morning thoughts revolving around applying two frameworks: the Three Gates and Persuasion, to a recent observation in the political arena.

There is a tactic I’ve seen in the last days on social media: Asking a question or making a challenge. Numerous people answer, often in generous detail. The troll is eventually silenced. Then…a few days later, they pop up on another thread, asking THE EXACT SAME QUESTIONS. WTF?
A Warrior must act with confidence, must “charge” at times, or hold their ground, say “This is my truth” and allow reality to educate them.
There are times you simply have to have confidence in your position, risking error. If you DON’T take a stand you are doomed, because your fate will be decided by those who have. If you have come to a decision that you are willing to take a stand that the sources of information you trust are congruent with your other ways of interpreting the world, then a person who cannot offer evidence from sources equally qualified or worthy (say, the CDC as opposed to unsourced Youtube videos) must be place in the category of “wrong on this issue.” — it is simply cowardice not to take a stand. They are Flat Earthers. As long as you remember that they have the right to think the same of you, you’re fine.
