I like to move between the simplest and most complex forms of various patterns and activities. In trying to separate basic concepts from more advanced resources, I can see a 5x5x5 configuration. It is NOT that there would not be other ways to look at things, just that simplicity is a very good thing, and the mind searches for patterns. I started with the “Five Minute Miracle” concept twenty years ago…but can I take “five” a little further? Just for giggles?

  1. A line with five points on it (one minute, or about five breaths, every three hours. About five times a day.)
  2. Five different major arenas of life. I generally used four (body, career, emotions, money) but if I play with “Five” I have room for one more. So…I’ll split “art” and “business” into two separate categories. IF YOU DON’T SPECIFICALLY ADDRESS MONEY, you have no right to complain about things involving money. That includes where you live, how you travel, what you can eat, or how you can support the people you love.

Now I have a square. Every three hours I stop, take five deep diaphragmatic “be breathed” style breaths, and with each breath I visualize the end point of each arena for the next twelve months (one year goal)..

I can go further.

3. In each of the five goals, what are my “five major moves” to accomplish it? In other words, if I’m overwhelmed with the complexity or mass of a goal…BREAK IT DOWN. What are my five steps? What are the five things I need to do to get where I want to go?
